Talk about bugs! Look at this guy I found on my dining room window a couple weeks ago.
Kinda cool in a creepy sort of way.

Summer Stuff
Thursday, August 23, 2007; 4:08 pm by Not Suzi.
It is so hot and dry here that I’m fearful that our grass may be dead for good. It had just been sodded last fall/winter and I don’t know if it had a chance to root very deeply. On the other hand the weeds throughout the mulch and landscaping are doing fine.
My family (3 sisters) are all on vacation this week. One is on a cruise and the other 2 are at a timeshare. We had a chance to go with them but when the plans were being made last spring we weren’t sure where we would be in our lives (move, job, wedding, finances, etc.) so we declined. I would love to get away and maybe next year we’ll be able to get away for a week or so someplace very relaxing. I love the desert and would love to spend a few days at Miraval.
How is your summer going? Its hard to believe that Labor Day is right around the corner and the official end of summer a couple weeks after that. I am looking forward to the fall though now that I am in an area with some mountains and trees. I love watching the colors burn across the landscape. Not to mention having a January and February that is much milder and therefore more tolerable that the ones I’ve been living with in Chicago the past 18 years.
