Honey, Yes, he loved you so much. You could see the love he had for you in those "amazing blue eyes." We loved him, he was a part of our family. Our "ROCKET SURGEON" as we called him. I will always be grateful to him for loving you. He was special. The last few months was not the Chris we all loved.
WE all wanted it to work out. Never expecting how it did turn out. My heart hurts for the pain you have had to go thru these past months. I only wish I could take some of the pain away. As you mourn for you loss, the pain will ease. You will become you again. Only stronger and wiser. You will find love again. Maybe not like the love you shared with Chris, but love on another level.
Remember I am here for you. I love you with all my heart. Sisters are FOREVER.

I agree with Jeanie. You were lied to every step of the way. You did NOTHING wrong. You trusted someone and gave your love to someone who turned around and hurt you and would not stop hurting you. He made a choice to live the way he has been living, and he will not change, EVER! You need to mourn for all the broken dreams and lies. You are a strong person, I think you just need to remember who you were 11/2 years ago. I love you deeply and will ALWAYS be here for you. Any time, any where!
Love,
Anjel

Honey,
You're not a liar, you were lied to. Over and Over.
Remember you are a good person, trusting, loving, honest.
Not everyone is the same. You will get over this, it will take time. You need to mourn for your loss. For the dreams that were lies. We are here for you. We all LOVE YOU very much. WE need to go out and have
"sex with an alligator" it will make us numb for a while.
Who's the DD?
Love you lots.

Wow! What a great info! Thanks, Laura. I'll definitly check out the amaranth and quinoa...and I've not heard of seitan but I'll do some research. I do have a great juicer but haven't used it in a while. I'm going to pull it out and go through some of my juicing books so I can load up on some fruits and veggies on my next trip to the grocery store.

Hope all is well with you!

There is so much information available on the internet, I'm sure you'll find all you need to know there. I happen to have an interest in nutrition...and even had to take a 101 class during culinary school. Still have my textbook! I'll offer some info, regardless.

*The RDA for protein for healthy adults-.36 grams per pound of body weight. This amount does allow for loss in urine, hair, etc.

*Extra protein is not stored as protein but is stored as fat if too many calories are being taken in.

*Legumes are excellent sources of non-animal protein. (But you knew that already!) They average 22% protein by weight (except for soybeans which are 40% protein.) Soy products are good...like the Tofutti you're already having. Are you familiar with seitan?? You can find it at stores like Whole Foods usually located by the tofu...or even make it yourself although it's a bit of a tedious process. Tasty meat substitute if prepared properly...supposedly with even more protein per serving than tofu. This suggestion is of course assuming you don't have any wheat sensitivity. I first learned about it in school, then tried it at the Chicago Diner in a dish called "No-Meata Fajitas". I have the Chicago Diner Cookbook as well as a Seitan cookbook if you'd like recipes.

*Amaranth and Quinoa are excellent sources of COMPLETE proteins. If I remember correctly, they are the only plant-foods with complete proteins. I've only had Quinoa...I don't care for it much, but most people seem to like it.

A raw food diet would be rough! I don't think I could do it for long. If you don't have one already, consider getting a juicer. Invest in a good one, though. I like the Omega brand. Yeah...they're a pain to clean. But juicing is good and an easy way to get some extra raw stuff.

That's all I have for now. Good luck! Take care of yourself.

That is so cool that you both are cooking at home so much! I almost ordered that very same set of Emerilware with rewards points from a credit card...but I chose an iPod instead...that I never use. :( We hope for a full set of All Clad one day. Meanwhile now that we're into fall, I'm enjoying my one lovely Le Creuset pot...making soups and stews. Anyway, I can totally relate to that euphoric feeling of new kitchenwares. Enjoy!
